✔The Vedic economy revolved around cow and dairy products which is clear from the references found in the Rig Veda. The economy was primarily pastoral.
✔The staple diet of the the Aryans was milk, ghee (clarified butter), wheat, barley, maize, fruits and vegetables. Honey was consumed on a large scale and intoxicating drinks such as soma and sura were also popular.
